We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.About the roleAs a Mechanical Designer Engineer I, you will collaborate with and receive direction from engineering personnel on applying engineering concepts of mechanical, systems and structural designs into practicable functional graphics.You will report to the Product Design manager and be located at the headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.Main ResponsibilitiesWork together with and receive directions from Engineering personnel toward applying engineering concepts of Mechanical, Systems and Structural designs into practicable functional graphics. Proficiency in CAD 3D and 2D.Develop moderately complex assemblies and digital models incorporating modified concepts in manufacturing, installation and construction engineering drawings. Prepare parts, break down and assemblies, integrate in facility layout for complete items characterized by critical mechanical, structural and functional clearances.Coordinate drafting activities, follow the progress, provide technical guidance and comments to obtain accurate outputs.Assist with analysis of engineering drawings and models for product manufacturability/constructability.Calculate dimensions, tolerances, fit, slopes, weights, bends using experimental engineering information and formula.Carry out mechanical calculations with specific software and preparing technical specifications.Interpret specifications, references, etc. in use of established drawing principles.Occasionally, take on-site measurement and data, assistance to walk-downs, and support installation.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.1+ years of experience in industrial projects.Experience using the following software: AutoCAD; parametric design Inventor, Solidworks or CREO; PLM Vault, SW PDM or Windchill, Ansys.You should be EU citizen or authorized to work in Spain.Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.Why Westinghouse?We know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
