Senior UX Writer

Join to apply for the Senior UX Writer role at Freenow We are flexible The role can be based in Hamburg or Barcelona. We are looking for a Senior UX Writer to work with our Freenow rider apps. As a Senior UX Writer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping Freenow’s passenger experience. Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers, you’ll craft clear, impactful, brand‑aligned writing that inspires, guides, and helps our passengers take the next ride with Freenow. You will be reporting to the Rider Product Design manager and will evolve the craft together with another UX Writer focused on our Driver products and the Content localisation team. YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE: Content creation: You will craft clear, concise, and compelling content for all existing and new features within the passenger app. You will be actively participating in the discovery and development phases, thereby integrating content considerations from project inception. Domain ownership: You will operate with a substantial degree of autonomy assuming full stewardship of UX writing for Freenow passengers’ app. UX Strategy: You will help us drive our UX team strategy, by leading initiatives from it together with other UX peers. Collaboration: You will collaborate actively with Designers, PMs and another UX Writer focused on our Driver products to reach best‑in‑class writing. Data‑Driven: You will actively participate and contribute to user research initiatives. This data informed approach will be the basic expectation of the role within our team. Understanding business: Your work will not only cater to the requirements of our users but will also contribute to the success of the product and the organization. You will need to get comfortable with the ride‑hailing industry. Accessibility and inclusivity: You are committed to content that is inclusive, accessible, and legally compliant. This includes adherence to best practices for accessibility and aspiring to universal usability of our products. Localization management: You will demonstrate proficiency in managing content within Phrase, our designated localization management tool, to streamline the translation and adaptation processes for diverse markets. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX writing, Content Design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects written in English.
