Java Senior Software Engineer - eDo Transport (Hybrid) Join eDreams ODIGEO as a Java Senior Software Engineer in our Transport area, working in Barcelona or Porto (hybrid). Your work will help customers find the best travel deals by combining over 700 airlines and 100,000 flights worldwide every day, offering millions of real‑time combinations across flights, trains and hotels. What you will do Build and evolve our Flights Search/Booking/PostBooking Domain micro‑services platform, which powers more than 2.5 billion searches every month. Learn and work with Java 11, BigData technologies (Kafka, Cassandra, BigTable, Redis, Neo4j), machine learning and FaaS in a continuous delivery and cloud‑based environment (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP). Provide technical guidance for complex initiatives, deliver strategic technical improvements, and evolve code structure and architecture with a focus on testability, maintainability, and investment opportunities. Deliver high‑complexity projects involving multiple stakeholders, managing timeline risks and ensuring delivery. Give and receive constructive feedback through code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentor teammates to raise skill levels. Communicate complex ideas to technical and business stakeholders, establishing alignment across the organization. Continuously expand your skills and knowledge through learning and experimentation. Collaborate and share your skills with teammates, fostering a strong team culture. Maintain a fluent English level to work in our multicultural environment, engaging with a team from over 60 nationalities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Applied AI Tools – comfort using tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI‑powered coding assistants. Experimentation Mindset – curiosity and eagerness to explore emerging AI‑driven solutions in software development. AI‑Enhanced Problem Solving – ability to leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity. Collaboration with AI – experience or interest in working closely with AI tools as “pair programmers” to complement traditional development.
