We have more than 18,000 customers and 12 million users globally. Emburse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and quality assurance, designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. As an SDET, you'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to build efficient test solutions, drive continuous integration, and maintain a high standard of product quality across all releases. As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting our online expense management SaaS platform, where technology and finance meet. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills alongside an understanding of financial processes and accounting principles. You'll assist customers whose data flows between our platform and their AP or ERP systems, helping to diagnose and resolve complex issues, analyse financial data, and ensure accuracy across integrated workflows. Experience with accounting software, ERP environments, or AP processes will help you translate technical insight into clear, reliable solutions that deliver real value to our customers. What You'll Do : Work as the quality champion and SDET within a product scrum team on a large-scale highly distributed enterprise software solution - Establish test plans/approach for features and functionality - Ensure code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently and with high qualityConduct system/E2E testing, and coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releases Design and implement automation for integration and workflow tests Assess load/performance testing requirements and create tests to exercise and evaluate system performance under load Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure our products and services are delivered with high quality Participate in peer code reviews and identifying opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of our test automation architecture Requirements Education Required: Associate or Bachelor's degree, college diploma in related field and/or equivalent experience required 4+ years of Testing/Quality Engineering experience in software domain Broad knowledge of Computer Science concepts and technologies  Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environment Experience designing and implementing automated tests using tools such as Pytest, Selenium, or similar tools Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages and concepts (Python, Java, etc..) Comfortable with SQL and writing SQL queries  Exposure to RESTful APIs and experience with Postman or other equivalent tools Some experience with load/performance testing and tools Able to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction Experience with front-end and back-end automation frameworks (Selenium, QA Robot, Playwright, Pytest, RestAssured, etc…)  Comfortable with CI/CD, build, package, configuration and release management tools (eg. Jenkins, Ansible, Gitlab/Github) Bonus Points Knowledge/Experience with K8S/Docker, AWS Exposure to infrastructure observability tools such as Grafana, OpenSearch, Coralogix, Datadog How We HireWe value great candidate experiences and commit to providing a transparent interview process and responsive communication.
