As a Data Migration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our data migration processes. You will work closely with our technical team to ensure the seamless transfer of vital information from legacy systems to new data platforms. Your expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques will be essential in ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process. Additionally, you will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any migration-related issues, while adhering to our stringent data governance policies.

The successful candidate for this role will have a strong background in data migration and a proven track record in managing complex data integration projects. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute data migration strategies and plans in alignment with project requirements
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources using ETL tools
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the migration process
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any data migration issues
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices
  • Document data migration processes, including procedures and guidelines
  • Conduct data migration testing and validation to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data migration, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools and methodologies, such as Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, or Talend
  • Proficiency in SQL and database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar)
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations is a plus
