Report to Spain Country Manager. Responsible for the negotiation and purchasing of the services required by the ocean product in Spain. Optimize Spain procurement based on local needs for growth, following global carrier strategy and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and coloaders. Assisting with Europe Ocean Pricing process, liaising with relevant stakeholders (Product, Pricing, business development, operations teams) maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships. Position holder will have a strong focus on data accuracy, process efficiency, and excellent time management and Excel tool capabilities.Tasks and dutiesSpain Ocean ProcurementNegotiate FCL and LCL ocean rates and allocation depending on local pipeline to increase our market shareVisit and develop strong relationships with carriersBusiness development support and trade lane optimizationCompliance and risk managementSpain Quotation toolsEnsure Contracts and Rates are accurately and timely updated in Freightos quotation platform for our Spanish pricing team and our NetworkEnsure Customer Tariffs maintenance in CargowiseAnalyze hit ratio and results, determine opportunities, and take actions to growthEuropean Tenders & Request for Quotations (RFQs) supportDistribute RFQ to the different stakeholders.Gather data from relevant internal stakeholders during the tender management process.Focus on deadlines (internal and external (customer)) and follow up with stakeholders.Follow RFQ pricing strategy.Complete the RFQ submission, present to main stakeholder for review & submission.Required JOB SPECIFICATIONSAcademic, Experience, knowledge & SkillsEducationLogistics studies degree or similarExperience and KnowledgeFreight Forwarding Experience – 5 years.Spanish Ocean Product and Carriers negotiation knowledge & experience – ExcellentPricing knowledge & experience – ExcellentCustomer orientation and negotiation skills - ExcellentNetworking skills – GoodInterpersonal skills - ExcellentUnderstanding of Tender processes - ExcellentUnderstanding of Ocean principles - Very goodPlanning & organizing skills – ExcellentMicrosoft, Freightos, Cargowise skills - ExcellentWritten and verbal communication skills - ExcellentTime management – ExcellentData accuracy – ExcellentPersonal AttributesEnglish and Spanish Languages – verbal / written – FluentAdditional Languages a plusFedEx Logistics provides freight forwarding, as well as import and export services that allow companies to reach markets throughout the world.
