Spark / Azure Databricks Developer Location: Málaga, Spain (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite) Company: Virtusa is seeking a motivated and technically strong Spark / Azure Databricks Developer to join our growing Data Engineering team. You will work on high-impact data transformation and analytics projects within a fast-paced, collaborative environment that supports major global clients. Develop and maintain data pipelines and processing solutions using Spark or Azure Databricks . ~ Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for large datasets. ~ Collaborate on version control and development workflows using GitHub . ~ Perform data transformation, validation, and integration tasks following best practices. ~ Work with Starckbust (or similar automation/orchestration tools) to support data workflows. ~ Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the team’s processes. ~ Optional) Contribute financial or management-control insights if you have related functional experience. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend data development. Strong experience with: ✔ Spark or Azure Databricks ✔ SQL ✔ GitHub ✔ Starckbust English level: Understanding of financial concepts, management control, or banking environments. Hybrid work environment: Required 1 day per week onsite in the Málaga office. Flexible schedules and international collaboration depending on project needs.
