ASIC Verification Engineer

ASIC Verification Engineer – MaxLinear MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ‑traded fabless semiconductor company dedicated to advancing communication networks through innovative RF, analog, digital, and mixed‑signal solutions. We are looking for an ASIC Verification Engineer to join our design teams in Carlsbad, CA, and help deliver high‑performance silicon for 5G, 4G, and industrial applications. Responsibilities Create block‑level and device test plans, develop testbenches, and execute test cases. Collaborate with mixed‑signal teams to integrate high‑speed analog behavioral models. Assist design teams with pre‑silicon debugging and verification support. Document test plans, testbenches, and coverage reports. Analyze functional code coverage, augment test cases, and meet defined test goals. Prepare task lists, estimate effort, and commit to schedule. Qualifications Proficiency in verification languages: UVM, SystemVerilog. Experience with verification methodologies including test plan creation, direct, random, formal test cases, and coverage. Knowledge of block‑level, cluster/subsystem, and top‑level verification. Familiarity with scripting/programming in Perl or Python is an asset. Background in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog. Experience with EDA tools for logic and gate‑level simulation. Strong logical, creative problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Leadership or people‑management experience is a plus.
