About Horse Technologies Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world‑class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero. This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Titu, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites. Graduate of higher education with a technical profile (preferably majoring in Road Vehicles, Transport, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrotechnics). General knowledge in the automotive field, engines and gearboxes (processes and characteristics of internal combustion engines/ calculation and construction of internal combustion engines). Basic knowledge of control systems and electrical components (sensors and actuators). Knowledge of the Simulink/ Matlab library (understanding of Simulink blocks), is an advantage. Experience in carrying out tests and experiments using dual scan, thermoscan, ETAS, MDA/Inca. English (intermediate/advanced level) or French (intermediate/advanced level). Calibration of spark ignition engines (modification of parameters: ignition advance, injection times, supercharging pressure, etc.) Contributes, together with the software team, to the modification of the engine control software. Calibration is carried out to comply with the specifications (performance, driving pleasure, starting, pollutant emissions). Making professional trips with test vehicles in different locations (Rânca-Romania, Granada-Spain, Kiruna-Sweden, etc.). Develops the test/validation plan and prepares the related reports.
