Join our team to navigate this challenge together We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer – Steelmaking to join a new and expanding Track and Services Division, focused on developing high-value engineering solutions for the steel industry, with a strong commitment to energy transition and the decarbonization of industrial processes. The selected professional will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of steel production processes, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Location : Madrid, Spain Work Modality : Hybrid work model: two days of remote work per week. Flexible working hours and intensive workday schedule during the summer months. Responsibilities Design and optimize steelmaking processes, including melting, refining, and casting stages. Lead projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Provide specialized technical advice in thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, material properties, and mass and energy balances. Implement and oversee quality control measures. Ensure compliance with industrial safety and environmental regulations. Collaborate actively with engineers, technicians, and other project stakeholders. Mentor and train junior engineers in advanced steelmaking engineering techniques. Requirements University degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in steel plants or related industrial sectors. Valuable experience leading conceptual studies, basic engineering, or FEED phases. Strong knowledge of metallurgy, process simulation, and quality control systems. Proficiency in simulation tools specific to the analysis and optimization of steelmaking processes. Minimum English level : B2 (mandatory). A technical English test will be conducted, and interviews will be held in English.
