NoOffer Description ABOUT CRAG:CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences. CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB). The Center is located at the UAB Campus, and currently hosts 200 members from across the world.The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Lab Technician to be part of the group Genetics and genomics of vegetable crops.The candidate will be in charge of:Plant growth, flower and fruit phenotypingGas‑exchange analysis (O2) with specialized equipment (Clark type oxygen electrode).DNA and RNA extractions from leaf and fruit tissuesPCR‑genotyping and gene expression analysis (qPCR)Metabolite extractions for metabolomics analysesThe tasks are included within the framework of the project MITORIPEN with reference code PID NB-I00.Where to apply E-mail Requirements Research Field Biological sciences » Biology Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:Educational requirements:BSC in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related areasExperience:Basic skills on laboratory analyses in biochemistry and molecular biologyCRAG is committed to the principles of the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers of the European Commission.
