Role: Paralegal

Compensation: Competitive Basic Salary

Work Schedule: 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, 9PM to 6AM Philippine time

Work Setup: Work from Office (San Fernando, Pampanga)


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Draft routine correspondence, pleadings, and miscellaneous legal documents, including Chapter 7 petitions, schedules, applications and additional pleadings as necessary.
  • Review and proofread all documents and redact confidential information
  • Coordinate and manage all legal e-filings and mailings.
  • Manage attorney calendars to document a sizable number of hearings, deadlines, and client correspondence.
  • Track litigation statutes of limitation.
  • Responsible for daily management of Chapter 7 caseload and promote positive communication with Clients on status updates
  • Maintains quality relationships with the Courts, Clerks office and other law firms.
  • Initiate the review and collaborate hearing preparation with U.S. Trustee
  • Draft and assemble discovery requests and responses.
  • Prepare statistical reports and maintain records
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering the phones, filing, copying, greeting clients and other general administrative duties.
  • Attend staff meeting and participate in firm and personal growth.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of the legal process, legal terminology regarding litigation procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft, Outlook and Excel)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle high stress and high pressure environments.
  • Ability to adapt to office environment.
  • Must be able to multitask and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team environment.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of federal, state local rules preferred, not required
  • 4 year college degree
  • 1+ year of experience of bankruptcy or creditor rights experience.
  • Experience with Best Case preferred.
