Open Position Postdoc Position for the TH-SM and Flavour Group About IFAE The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) is a public consortium of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, a public university) whose main objective is to carry out research and to contribute to the development of high energy physics from a theoretical, experimental and technological point of view. IFAE has the status of a “University Institute\" attached to the UAB and its premises are within the campus of the University. About the TH-SM and Flavour group The research team in Standard Model Physics and Flavour Physics (in and beyond the SM) of the Theory Division at the High Energy Physics Institute in Barcelona (IFAE-Barcelona) announces the opening of 1 postdoctoral position to work on the following lines of research: rare B decays and flavour anomalies using EFTs, phenomenology of strong interactions at low energies, anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, renormalons and heavy quarkonium. These positions are funded by IFAE aiming at hiring excellent researchers -of any nationality- to conduct a research project in collaboration with the members of the research team: Rafel Escribano, Pere Masjuan, Joaquim Matias, Santiago Peris and Antonio Pineda. Required skills and evaluation criteria The successful candidate is expected to have: Internationally recognized experience on some of the research lines mentioned above Good computing skills (C++,Phyton etc.) as well as technical skills Good communication skills in English The evaluation criteria and their weighting for the submitted applications will be the following: Evaluation Criteria Points Criteri 1: Research record and international visibility 30 Criteri 2: Computing and Technical skills 30 Criteri 3: Suitability of the candidate’s profile to the research lines of the group 30 Criteri 4: Communication skills in English 10 Offered contract: Full-time Contract (40 h/week) The position will correspond to a Postdoctoral position.
