Syntax has offices worldwide and partners with Oracle SAP AWS Microsoft IBM and other global technology leaders.Role DescriptionThe Senior Microsoft Workplace Admin will have overall responsibility for designing, operating and managing services for Syntax internally including:Active Directory / Azure ADWindows Server AdministrationMicrosoft Office 365 / M365 administration for 3000 employeesHybrid On‑premise / Azure cloud infrastructureMicrosoft Intune managing and hybrid PC Mac environmentAzure Virtual DesktopWorking in day‑to‑day operation and in projects. Remote work only with casual travelling.Would be part of the Syntax Digital Workplace Team working with colleagues split over America, Europe and Asia. Our main goal is providing the best DEX (Digital Employee Experience) for Syntax employees.CompetenciesAt least 5 years or experience in 4 or more of these areas:Active Directory / Azure AD design and administration.Microsoft systems architecture. Windows Server administration. Server and client security and hardening.Medium to high PowerShell scripting and setting up interfaces between AD and other systems.Microsoft Office 365 Tenant administration including Exchange, Teams and SharePoint administration.Domains DNS Certificates administration.High expertise with Microsoft Intune and desirable other MDMs (Kandji / Jamf).Windows PC imaging and application packaging and distribution. Migrations and roll‑out of new PC images.Azure Virtual Desktop administration and application virtualization.Infrastructure monitoring tools. Sizing/Capacity planning/Backup and disaster recovery.Basic to medium networking (LAN/WLAN IP Routing VPN Firewalling) to support Microsoft and Workplace Infrastructure.Able to transform from a traditional Windows/Microsoft SysAdmin to SRE / DevOps.Team player able to work remotely in a global distributed and multi-cultural team in different time‑zones.Good work organization skills. Able to manage daily work with ServiceNow (Incidents, Requests, CMDB, Change Management) and ITIL good practices.Role & ResponsibilitiesWork in day‑to‑day operations managing the Syntax infrastructure including incident/problem and change management. Providing L3 support. L1/L2 support is provided by the Syntax Servicedesk and the Support specialists teams.Work in projects designing and implementing new architectures and cloud first based solutions.Work in integration projects migrating / consolidating infrastructure.As providing 24x7 some shift on‑call availability will be required for priority one incidents escalation.Other Skills DesirableServiceNow Incident/Problem/Change Management/Reporting user experience.Experience implementing, migrating and managing AWS and Azure Public Cloud infrastructure and HyperScalers.Experience with Network Infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, VLAN, VPN, DNS).Experience deploying, maintaining and supporting virtualized (VMware and Hyper‑V) and physical environments.Experience deploying, maintaining and supporting IP Telephony.Experience deploying, maintaining and supporting a variety of hardware and enterprise applications.Education & LanguagesGood English written and spoken level is required as working in an international team.
