Are you ready to elevate this globally beloved, top-grossing franchise to new heights?As the Design Director, you will report directly to the GM and lead a team of talented designers while collaborating with product leaders, engineers, and artists. Your mission is to develop fun, engaging, and immersive experiences that influence and evolve player behaviors. You will offer a design vision for the game, collaborating with the GM to create a narrative for the roadmap from the players’ experience perspective.Main ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive the game's vision, ensuring it aligns with overall goals. Clearly communicate this vision to the team and stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding and commitment.Propose new ideas to the team and lead brainstorming sessions. Develop user experience stories, and create wireframe screens and workflows.Ensure every feature is supported by optimal design solutions rooted in a deep understanding of player motivations, behavior drivers, product goals, and design levers.Lead and grow a team of designers by providing mentorship, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting professional development. Encourage creativity and innovation, set clear goals, and ensure the team has the resources and guidance needed to excel.Establish and prioritize goals, offer guidance throughout the development process, and approve finalized design work. Work with product managers, developers and artists to lead all aspects of the implementation of new features and systemsCreate and enhance tools to streamline and accelerate the design pipeline, ensuring the team can work more efficiently and effectively. Continuously evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that optimize workflow and productivity.Analyze real-time feedback and metrics to refine game designs, ensuring they remain engaging and balanced. Adjust designs as needed while maintaining a stable and thriving live game economy.Be an advocate of good design practices across the studio. Remain up-to-date with Game Design literature and standard methodologies to be an evangelist for the craft of Game DesignDesired Skills and ExperienceEffective communicator with outstanding verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Highly proficient with mathematical concepts and formula creation in a game environmentProven history of designing systems that influence player behaviors and achieve key product performance indicators.Expert in crafting features, systems, core game loops, economies, and meta-designs to foster and enhance positive player behaviors.Excels in a live service game environment, adept at making adjustments based on feedback from an active community.Solid experience in the gaming industry in a design role, contributing meaningfully to multiple released titlesExtensive experience leading a diverse and skilled design teamProven track record of successfully shipping gamesWhat's in it for you as a Socialpointer?Hybrid working model from home and office.
