As a Senior Backend Software Engineer , you’ll be a key driver of this mission, designing and scaling the platform that powers thousands of workflows and data models. You’ll shape our AI Assistant, APIs, workflow engine, permissions, security model, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and a great product experience for customers.About Noloco We pride ourselves on a culture of autonomy, speed, and craft . This is a unique opportunity to own core backend services in a fast-growing SaaS company and help shape the future of how software is made.What You’ll Be Doing Building the backend for various user-facing featuresOptimise client APIs and servicesImprove database and infrastructure performance by implementing caching solutions and optimising data queriesImprove observability, monitoring, and alerting for our service so that we can better respond to operational incidentsScale our service via architectural changes as well as infrastructure improvementsWhat You’ll Actually Be Doing Adding more tools/logic to our AI Assistant to let our users interact with the Noloco platform through our chat-based assistantImprove our Native data tables by adding support for new field types, or new performance improvementsLead integrations with additional data sources like databases and other software tools to open up new channels and possibilitiesExtending Noloco\'s workflows and automations to allow customers to seamlessly integrate their other tools and automate their manual workflowsScaling the platform to meet customer growthMonitoring API/infrastructure performanceWe\'d Love To Hear From You If You HaveHave significant experience (4+ years) in engineering scalable, multi-tenant environmentsPrevious experience in either AWS ECS, Docker, LambdasExceptional JavaScript/node.js skillsExperience in React.js/GraphQL is a plusDeep understanding of data design and modelingBuilt and worked on complex web applicationsOur tech Node (Typescript), Postgres, MongoDB and RedisInternal NodeJS GraphQL & REST APIsDynamic GraphQL APIs that have access to each app\'s dataData synchronisation systems for syncing customer data with 3rd party data sourcesHosted on AWS with ECS & LambdasMonitored via Grafana & SentryGitHub, Linear, SlackWhat we offer Interesting and challenging workWork-life balanceCompetitive salary and equityEmployee-friendly equity terms (extended exercise)Work remotely, hybrid or in-office, your choiceHealth Insurance & Wellness allowanceRegular team events and off-sites5 weeks of paid vacationAny Equipment you need to work from home or officeWhere will you work?
