You’ll collaborate with data scientists, software development engineers, and security engineers across multiple teams to develop innovative security solutions. Your work will protect the AWS cloud for all customers and preserve their trust in us. You’ll be part of a team of industry‑leading security experts supporting UK customers, continuously improving security programs and processes. The role manages security programs for personnel security, physical and logical accreditations, training, assurance, and cyber security, with visibility at senior levels of government and commercial institutions. You will need to be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.For more information on clearance levels, visit QualificationsExtensive experience performing security investigations, penetration testing, and/or incident response in the context of large organisations.In‑depth understanding of security threats, hands‑on experience detecting and defending from cyber attacks, and experience using big data analytics and orchestration to address security challenges.Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, TypeScript, Python, or Rust, and experience with security code review.Demonstrated technical leadership in security (e.g., technical lead, development of security architecture, leadership of security projects) and coaching of junior security engineers.Preferred QualificationsBS or MS in a STEM related field.Understanding of the Mitre ATT&CK framework and knowledge of host and network telemetry data (process lists, application logs, NetFlow).Experience with data science, big data analytics technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming, Kinesis), and analytic development for endpoint and network security.Strong sense of ownership combined with a collaborative approach to overcoming challenges and influencing organisational change.About Amazon SecurityAmazon Security values diverse experiences.
