The role sits within our Data function while partnering very closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams. You will be embedded with core product squads for instrumentation and experiment reads, with clear ownership via data contracts.To be very specific, you will report to the Head of Product Data & Analytics and work closely with Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers as well as Product & Engineering stakeholders on a day‑to‑day basis.This role is both very strategic and technical where you will get the chance to establish our tracking standards organisation‑wide while also being very hands‑on with the implementation of our tracking approach. If you are driven by having a huge impact on product development and adoption, then keep on readingWhat You’ll Be DoingImplement the company‑wide tracking plan and event taxonomy across web and mobileLead the identity strategy and join key across auth states and devicesDefine our Segment governance with Protocols: schemas, routing, enforcement rules, consent signalsRoll out SDKs and standards for web, iOS, and AndroidDefine data quality SLAs, alerting, incident playbooks, and QA frameworks for pre‑prod and prodCollaborate with Analytics Engineering on dbt models and downstream martsOptimize for cost and performance across the tracking stackIn case you are curious, here is a list of some of the technologies the team is working with: Segment, Mixpanel, dbt, Looker, LookML, SQL, Python, BigQuery.What You BringExtensive experience in SaaS product analytics, or tracking instrumentationMastery of event taxonomies, identity stitching, and SDK rolloutsProficiency with behavioral analytics tools and stakeholder enablementStrong written documentation and enablement skillsPrevious experience with experimentationProven solid experience with SQL and dbt, consent/PII complianceWhy is this role a good fit for youLove designing event taxonomies and data contracts that make analytics fast and trustworthyHave deep hands‑on experience with Segment (Connections, Protocols) and product analytics tools like Amplitude or MixpanelEnjoy partnering closely with Engineers and Product Managers to instrument features and ship reliable trackingCare about governance, versioning, and privacy without blocking velocityThis role may not be for you if you:Prefer pure analysis over instrumentation and platform ownershipDon’t enjoy debugging SDKs, identity stitching, or end‑to‑end data flowsWant to avoid change management, schema evolution, and documentationHow You’ll Develop In This RoleRoll out a new "Gold Standard" for tracking plans with our pilot product teamSet up monitoring and alerting for tracking failures, giving you real‑time visibility into data healthBecome the go‑to expert for Tracking at Pleo, shaping how the entire company measures product successBeyond that, we’re committed to helping you develop your career, whether that means taking on bigger projects, stepping into leadership, or acquiring new skills in software engineering.The CompensationUnited Kingdom: £95,000 – £116,000Denmark: DKK 810,750 – DKK 986,000Spain: €108,500 – €132,500The role can be based in Denmark, Spain or the United Kingdom. We can hire either remotely, hybrid or in office but you need to be physically based in any of those countries .
