The candidate should have advanced proficiency in backend languages and frameworks, strong expertise in database design and optimization, and proven experience with microservices architecture, event sourcing, and supporting live production environments. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, as well as containerization and orchestration, is required. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools is expected. The role involves owning the analysis, design, development, and support of platform projects, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
