We have gone to a fully remote working platform so that we can attract the world’s best talent.All roles at THE/STUDIO are 100% remote from anywhere in the world, as long as you have all your tools and a fast, stable internet connectionWe know that some applicants will not meet all the requirements, so we encourage you to apply anyway so we can determine if something else might be a good fitThe RoleWe’re looking for an exceptional Fashion Designer to lead the creation and launch of an in‑house brand using THE/STUDIO’s manufacturing ecosystem.This role is part of a high-impact, experimental initiative designed to push our supply chain, production processes, and product experience forward. You’ll work hands‑on with real factories, real products, and real constraints using THE/STUDIO’s global manufacturing network to design, develop, and produce collections from concept to launch.You’ll have full access to our factories , materials, and production partners, with samples and production costs fully covered by THE/STUDIO . While THE/STUDIO will own the brand, you will act as its Creative Director , with meaningful creative autonomy and influence over the brand’s vision, aesthetic, and execution.Beyond building the brand itself, this role plays a critical role in helping us:Test and improve our supply chain in real-world conditionsGenerate insights that inform and improve our softwareAdvise THE/STUDIO and our customers on design and manufacturing best practicesThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who is deeply passionate about fashion and product creation, and who thrives at the intersection of creativity, manufacturing, and execution.What You’ll DoBrand & Product CreationDesign and develop collections from concept to productionCreate production-ready designs across:Apparel (required)Accessories, jewelry, and home decor (strong plus)Work directly with factories on materials, sampling, costing, and productionOwn creative direction, aesthetics, and storytelling for the brandManufacturing & R&DUse THE/STUDIO’s factories to test, learn, and improve real production workflowsIdentify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities in our supply chainProvide hands‑on feedback to improve our internal tools and softwareAdvisory & CollaborationAdvise THE/STUDIO internally on design, manufacturing, and brand developmentJoin customer calls and reviews when needed to provide expert guidanceSupport customers behind the scenes with manufacturing and design insightsWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience launching a fashion brand or being deeply involved in bringing one to market, with a strong portfolio of production-ready workHands‑on experience designing and developing apparel for manufacturing, with a solid understanding of the full product lifecycle from concept to productionStrong creative direction skills, with working knowledge of branding, graphic design, and fashion marketingExperience working directly with factories and production partners, balancing creative vision with real-world constraintsExposure to accessories, jewelry, or home decor is a strong plusHighly self-directed and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑paced startup environmentStrong sense of urgency, bias toward action, and ability to operate well with ambiguityClear communicator and collaborator who brings thoughtful insights to both internal teams and customersDeep passion for fashion, materials, and craftsmanship, with curiosity about how things are made and improvedTHE/STUDIO’s Company ValuesIntellectually curious - possesses a natural disposition and comfort to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and a desire to ‘get to the bottom of things’ if they see something not quite rightSelf-motivated with a meaningful reason to deliver excellenceGood communication skills that enhance collaboration, minimize misunderstandings, and at a frequency that is appropriate for a remote teamRadical candor - Coachable, accepting of constructive negative feedback and willing to provide constructive negative feedback where applicableOperates with a level of urgency - values immediate action where prudent, enables quick decision-making, swift problem-solving, and seizing opportunities in a dynamic business environmentNatural customer centricity - has an affinity to always start their train of thought or analysis with the customer’s perspective, bias towards talking to the customer to understand themResults-driven - focuses on achieving and exceeding measurable objectivesOur Typical Hiring ProcessSubmit an application.
