ERTMS Software Development Engineer – Siemens Siemens Tres Cantos, Community of Madrid, Spain We are leaders in cutting‑edge technology for the Railway Signaling sector. Main functions and responsibilities Software Requirements management Software development for specific Siemens solutions Design, implement and modify software using ADA and C/C++/Visual C with SIL4 techniques Assume responsibilities throughout the software development cycle: specification, design, development, test, and delivery Work in an international and multidisciplinary development team Innovation and research on new technologies applied to products Requirements Software engineer (computer science, industrial engineering, telecommunications) Desirable experience in developing applications for Railway Signaling Train Control systems Desirable 2 years of experience in research projects English & Spanish proficiency Knowledge Knowledge of generating Functional Requirements Knowledge in ADA / C / C++ / Visual C; other languages such as Python will be valued Knowledge of software architecture Knowledge of Railway Systems (ERTMS) highly valued Ability to manage integration environments and implement test automation Knowledge of configuration management tools (Synergy, Polarion) Knowledge of automated testing and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, SonarQube) Knowledge of requirements and traceability tools (Doors, Polarion) Knowledge of SIL2/4 development techniques (CENELEC 50128:2011) Knowledge of cybersecurity will be valued It will be assessed Knowledge of Agile (SCRUM) methodology and tools (Jira, Gitlab, RTC) Knowledge in test environment automatization IT security knowledge (vulnerability testing, threat mitigation, authentication, access control, cryptography) Programming using code standards (MISRA 2012 & CERT C) and good development practices Skills Ability to work effectively across multiple geographic locations Team player with good communication skills and a results‑oriented approach Strong Spanish and English, spoken and written Meticulous, organized, exhaustive Passion for software development, design and testing Visionary spirit, eager to explore research and development of new technologies Attitude toward continuous improvement and efficiency Open to thinking outside the box Diversity Statement (EEO) Siemens promotes equal opportunity between men and women, and values diversity as a source of creativity and innovation.
