Description

As an Everest Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriting department as a member of the Operations Underwriting Support team to deliver accurate risk assessment, record keeping, and reporting.

We are hiring multiple Underwriting Assistants to join the Everest Operations team in Madrid. The role involves delivering excellent service to clients, collaborating with Underwriting teams, and ensuring accurate risk entry, record keeping, and reporting.

Successful candidates will be aligned with one of our lines of business such as Property, Marine, Aviation, Surety Casualty, Energy, Financial Lines, and A&H underwriting teams. They will support these areas across European countries including Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

  • Summarize slip terms, calculate premiums, and ensure accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements, and transactions to the Everest Underwriting System(s) for management, statistical, and regulatory reporting.
  • Perform data checks to ensure underwriting data accuracy.
  • Produce Wordings and Endorsements within SLA using relevant templates, and handle policy document distribution.
  • Store risk information and correspondence for audit trail purposes.
  • Include underwriting information for review processes within designated timeframes.
  • Index and update underwriting information electronically as required.
  • Maintain tools for compliance checks and assist underwriters in various tasks.
  • Provide administrative support in credit control, data quality, and training.
  • Offer support to Underwriting teams in other classes of business.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by Operations Coordinators and Manager.
  • Adhere to Everest's operating model, policies, and procedures.

Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years of Insurance experience.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in German preferred.
