This leader oversees global teams responsible for corporate accounting (including technical accounting), financial reporting and consolidation, general ledger, accounts payable, travel & expense (T&E), payroll, audit management, and global accounting operations. The role is pivotal in driving Diligent’s AI‑first transformation, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and scalable growth across all accounting functions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high‑performing, global accounting organization, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Accounting Officer and executive leadership, aligning accounting strategy with overall business objectives.Champion the adoption of AI‑driven automation and modern platforms to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and deliver actionable insights.Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including technical accounting, general ledger, and statutory reporting.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, driving continuous improvement in speed and accuracyProvide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, new accounting standards, and emerging issues to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.Lead M&A due diligence activities; develop and execute post‑transaction integration plansAudit Management & ComplianceDirect all audit management activities, including coordination with internal and external auditors, and ensure robust internal controls.Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal financial policies, regulatory requirements, and global accounting standards.Oversee the implementation and monitoring of internal controls, risk management, and policy adherence across all regions.Operational Excellence & TransformationDrive the integration of AI and automation in key accounting processes (e.g.,
