CAREER OPENING: MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT / TECHNICIAN | MÁLAGA, SPAIN Fuerte Group Hotels invites dedicated and hands-on professionals to apply for the position of Maintenance Assistant / Technician (Auxiliar de Mantenimiento) . Based at one of our resorts in the Málaga / Marbella Area , you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by keeping all facilities in excellent working order. 1. Position and Mission (ROLE DETAILS) Company: Fuerte Group Hotels (A stable, expanding hotel group known for its commitment to quality). Location: Málaga / Marbella Area, Spain (Hotel/Resort). Mission: Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and assist senior technicians with complex infrastructure issues. Your primary goal is to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic and functional standards. 2. Essential Job Functions (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES) Your role requires multi-skilled technical support and proactive problem-solving: 2.1. General Repairs & Upkeep First, execute general maintenance and repair tasks across all hotel areas (guest rooms, common areas, exterior). Perform minor plumbing repairs (faucets, drains, toilets) and basic electrical work (light fixtures, switches). Therefore, handle painting, plastering, and simple carpentry repairs as needed to maintain the property’s appearance. 2.2. Technical Assistance & Prevention Assist senior technical staff and specialized contractors with complex maintenance tasks (e.g., HVAC system servicing, major installations). Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Furthermore, report any major defects or structural issues immediately to the Chief of Maintenance. 2.3. Guest & Safety Response Respond promptly and courteously to maintenance requests from guests and staff. Ensure all work is carried out following strict hotel safety standards and regulatory compliance. Crucially, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and storage areas. 3. Candidate Profile (JOB REQUIREMENTS) 3.1. Qualifications & Experience Education: Technical training or professional certification in Electromechanics, Electricity, Plumbing, or a related trade is required. Experience: Previous experience (minimum 1-2 years) in maintenance or technical roles, ideally within the hospitality or service sector. Skills: Demonstrated multi-skilled technical ability (basic carpentry, painting, minor electrical, basic plumbing). 3.2. Language & Adaptability Language (MANDATORY): Professional working proficiency in Spanish is highly advantageous for team communication, and basic English is helpful for guest interactions. Adaptability: Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel’s operational demands. 4.
