We are looking for a simulations engineer with a startup mindset to develop and optimize Inmersia’s proprietary optics simulation platform , that lies at the heart of the development of next-generation of Inmersia’s near-eye display. The main objective is to expand the software suite by implementing new features that accurately capture complex optical behaviour with a special attention on optimal usage of computational resources . Implement the corresponding numerical solutions in MATLAB/Python ensuring efficient use of computational resources Test code and apply the developed solution to real experimental scenarios Ensure smooth collaboration within the optics simulations team by clearly documenting the code, implementing its version control and managing the repositories Ensure smooth collaboration with the optics design team by implementing easy interfacing of the custom simulations with third party software such as Zemax Experience in developing simulations in MATLAB/Python Basic experience with GPU acceleration using CUDA and Python packages such as CuPy, Numba, etc. Valuable extras Experience in developing simulations in low-level languages such as C# or C++PhD degree in Physics with a focus on optics simulations with 2 years of additional relevant experience, ideally in AR/VR. xcskxlj Alternatively, Master’s degree in Physics with 6 years of experience in developing optics simulations , preferably for advanced custom optical elements.
