As we embark on a migration journey for our core ERP systems into SAP, we are seeking an experienced SAP Basis DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Platform Engineering Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the integration of different SAP components, SAP ERP, SAP BTP, and SAP MDG platforms into our ecosystem, contributing to a transformative project that aligns with our commitment to excellence.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP implementations into existing Platform Engineering Team processes.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for SAP applications, leveraging SAP capabilities for seamless and automated deployment.
- Work closely with developers, system administrators, architect teams, and security teams to address SAP-specific challenges within the DevOps lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts for SAP environments using tools such as Terraform, adhering to SAP best practices.
- Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for SAP systems, ensuring high availability and performance in the SAP Cloud environment.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams to streamline communication and ensure alignment with business objectives in the context of SAP implementation.
- Stay updated on SAP Cloud technologies, SAP BTP capabilities, and SAP MDG features to enhance overall system efficiency.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a positive attitude and the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience with hands-on expertise in SAP Basis, SAP BTP, and SAP MDG integration.
- Experience in projects and cloud environments based on SAP Rise.
- Strong understanding of SAP Cloud technologies, including SAP Syniti and SAP HANA Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in the context of SAP Cloud applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of security best practices for SAP Cloud environments and the ability to implement them within the DevOps pipeline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
- Open mindset to learn and teach inside and outside the team.
Nice to have requirements:
- SAP certifications related to SAP Basis and system administration in the SAP Cloud environment.
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and management.
- Knowledge in other observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Elastic.
