Your focus will be on the services, APIs, and capabilities owned by those squads, ensuring they are secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.Working closely with Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and business stakeholders, you will translate business and technical requirements into actionable backlog items that drive both customer value and technical excellence.What You’ll Be DoingOwn and prioritise the backlog for one or more squads within a Mission, ensuring alignment with the Mission vision and roadmapTranslate business and Mission needs into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteriaWork with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyse needs, define business processes, and ensure requirements are understood across teamsValidate requirements and maintain traceability to outcomes, supporting clarity, prioritisation, and change managementBalance functional delivery with scalability, security, performance, and compliance requirements in partnership with engineers and architectsAct as a bridge between business processes and technical delivery, ensuring that legacy‑modern integration challenges are well understood and addressed in backlog itemsEnsure non‑functional requirements such as availability, resilience, and monitoring are built into deliverySupport agile ceremonies, manage dependencies, and ensure squads deliver value consistentlyCapture learnings from incidents and feed them into backlog improvementsPromote automation, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery to drive efficiency and reliabilityWhat You’ll Bring To The TeamProven experience as a Technical Product Owner, or similar role in a technology-driven organisation, ideally across multiple squads within a MissionStrong understanding of agile delivery, engineering practices, and product lifecycle managementHands‑on experience with APIs, integration platforms, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelinesExperience working with event‑driven architectures, data modelling, or backend integration platformsAbility to structure and prioritise backlogs to deliver measurable value and technical outcomesAbility to manage technical debt and legacy system constraints while enabling platform evolutionSkilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, business‑friendly communicationStrong requirements analysis skills, including capturing business needs, mapping processes, and defining acceptance criteriaFamiliarity with data governance, security, and compliance requirements for customer and booking dataExperience creating and managing user stories, functional/non‑functional requirements, and BA artefacts to support deliveryExperience within airline, travel, or large‑scale eCommerce platforms is advantageousWhat We Can Offer YouCompetitive base salaryUp to 20% bonus25 days holidayBAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes7% pensionLife AssuranceFlexible benefits packageExcellent staff travel benefitsReady to make an impact?
