SummaryJoin Novartis and make a profound impact on patient safety As the Medical Safety Lead in our Cardio Renal Metabolic team, you will spearhead safety evaluations, collaborate with dynamic global teams, and craft safety strategies that protect patients and drive groundbreaking innovation.About The RolePrimary Location: Barcelona (Grand Via), SpainWorking Model: Hybrid (12 days per month on-site)Alternate Location: London (The Westworks), United KingdomWorking Model(s): Hybrid (12 days per month on-site if living within 50 miles of our London office) Remote (if living beyond 50 miles of our London office)Major AccountabilitiesMonitor clinical safety data, literature, and case reports to identify potential safety signalsConduct medical assessments for individual cases, including follow-ups and quality defect evaluationsPerform signal detection and evaluation using aggregate and single-case dataContribute to regulatory responses and prepare safety data for health authority reviewsSupport safety input for core data sheets and related regulatory documentationProvide medical input for aggregate safety reports and risk management plansCollaborate with cross-functional teams on clinical safety deliverables and study documentationOffer expert evaluation on adverse event reports and guide pharmacovigilance operationsMinimum RequirementsMaster of Science / PharmD / PhD in a relevant fieldFluent in spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plusMinimum 4 years of experience in drug development, including 2 years in patient safetyStrong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements, and scientific analysisProven ability to interpret and present safety data clearly and effectivelyExperience contributing to clinical safety assessments and regulatory safety reportsDesirable SkillsMedical degree (MBBS or MD) with specialization preferredExperience managing clinical safety issuesExperience in Cardio/Renal/Metabolic therapy areaReady to make a difference?
