Flexcity is a rapidly growing and expanding electrical flexibility aggregator, leader in Benelux and France. Flexcity's core business is to support the balance of the European electricity grid through the operation of its large portfolio of fully automated flexible assets.
This portfolio includes a wide variety of assets such as batteries, power generation units and major industrial sites. Flexcity is also integrating renewable energy sources into its portfolio, enabling new revenue streams for emerging technologies.
As a supplier of innovative “Smart Grid” solutions, Flexcity focuses on the optimization and management of electricity consumption (Demand Response, Load Shifting, etc.). Flexcity helps many industrial companies reduce their overall cost of purchasing electricity through consumption management services based on optimization and modeling software applications.
Flexcity is at the forefront of energy innovation. As a member of the team, you will participate in making the energy sector more sustainable by promoting low carbon emission sectors.
As Product Manager for Renewable Energies, you are responsible for designing and managing Flexcity’s business development of emerging technologies.
You will become an internal expert in the valorization possibilities, technical characteristics, and business cases involving emerging technologies such as Batteries, eBoilers, and Renewables.
You will use this expertise, your strategic vision, and on-the-ground commercial discussions with clients and partners to develop/expand Flexcity’s product offering and improve Flexcity’s market positioning with regard to these emerging technologies.
You take on a jack-of-all-trades role and will work on diverse topics related to the business development of these emerging technologies, such as contract design, value analysis, and coordination with our developers, data team, and portfolio managers to design and deliver on the perfect product offering.
Your responsibilities
- You will be part of the cross-border Product Department.
- You become an expert in the valorization possibilities, technical characteristics, and business cases involving emerging technologies.
- You identify and select the suitable product/model to respond to the market’s need concerning the valorization of the flexibility of new technologies and help create a packaged offering in collaboration with our sales teams.
- You identify the best optimizations of emerging technologies with the data and local portfolio teams.
- Take and follow up on the commercial discussions about new technologies.
- You interact with our developers and portfolio team to develop the products required.
- You stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies within the energy sector to ensure our products remain competitive.
- You combine a strong analytical mindset with a commercial mindset.
- You have a great affinity for both the energy sector and technology.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, or French.
- You have a technical background, such as engineering, business engineering, etc.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- You address challenges proactively and have a can-do mentality.
- You are flexible, not afraid to think outside the box, and love sharing your knowledge.
- You are deliverable-focused with a pragmatic and professional attitude.
Nice-to-have
- You have experience in product management or in business development.
- Data analysis experience (Python, SQL, etc.).
Might be a plus :
- The ability to enter by the window when the front door is closed.
