Detailed Job Description As a Transmission Network Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced transmission systems. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies such as DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and PTN, ensuring seamless network performance and security. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects that impact millions of users globally, while collaborating with top industry professionals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and optimize transmission networks using DWDM, Microwave, and PTN technologies Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution for transmission systems to ensure minimal downtime Monitor network performance and implement proactive measures for reliability and scalability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades and integration projects Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents promptly Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in transmission engineering or technical support roles Strong knowledge of DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and Legacy PTN technologies Solid understanding of network protocols and industry standards Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for network troubleshooting Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) Ability to work in on-call rotation Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with SDH/SONET and IP/MPLS technologies Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible) Knowledge of optical fiber infrastructure and planning Exposure to cloud networking and virtualization concepts Relevant vendor certifications (Huawei, Nokia, Cisco) Recruitment Pro Tip Highlight your hands-on experience with DWDM and Microwave systems in your CV and be prepared to discuss real-world troubleshooting scenarios during the interview.
