Technical Proposal Manager – GE VernovaOnshore Wind International (ONWI Technical Leader role: develop fully optimized, well‑documented technical proposals for wind turbine units and services.Job Description SummaryThe role involves engaging with customers, developing high‑quality technical proposals for onshore wind projects, and supporting technical discussions and negotiations. The Technical Leader will own the preparation of the technical proposal, review and amend technical contract documents, put forward GEV’s contractual positions and negotiate to a successful contract award. The Technical Leader must work closely with key stakeholders, including the Commercial Leader, Sales Leader, Product Line, Engineering, Project Operations, Project Management and operate with the highest standards of integrity and compliance.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport the Commercial team as the Technical Proposals Lead for ONWI, reporting to the Regional Commercial Director.Lead technical aspects of new unit proposal development during bidding and negotiation, acting as the point of contact for both the customer and internal supporting functions.Ensure high‑quality, well‑defined proposals that position GEV Renewable Energy to win profitable and executable orders.Apply market and product knowledge to enhance the value of the technical solution for both GEV and the Customer.Own the technical analysis of customer inquiries, RFQs or tenders to determine proposal requirements, technical deviations, scope of supply definition and execution strategy optimization.Interface with appropriate internal stakeholders, lead technical participation in relevant Risk Management processes and meetings.Represent ONWI at client meetings and negotiations related to technical aspects of the proposal/contract.Identify and lead initiatives to improve tools and processes, proposal quality and technical risk optimization.Provide technical support to customer and project key stakeholders by presenting GEV technology.Train, coach and mentor junior technical leaders and other internal functions regarding Technical Proposals.Maintain regional specific variations to GEV’s product offering and standard work, drive best practices, influence way of working, quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the New Unit Technical Proposals Team.Contribute toward strategy and offering to report market demand and support Product Line to define products and features creating customer value.Qualifications and RequirementsSignificant years of experience as a technical proposal manager or similar roles.Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; integrative team working style.Strong process analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills.Experience with Excel and analytical tools.Customer oriented, ability to work with cross‑functional and cross‑business teams.Entrepreneurial spirit with a ‘Can‑do’ attitude, willingness to change the status quo for the better.Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation period.Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.Team spirit, fluent in English speaking and writing.Willingness to travel 20‑30% within Europe.Desired CharacteristicsEnthusiasm for technology and renewable energy.Engineering or related technical discipline background.Knowledge of wind turbine technology and project execution.Understanding of power generation main technical features and impact on customer technical assessment.Experience in tendering, sales or alternative role with strong customer interaction.Experience in interface management.Fluency in one or more additional languages.Experience in lean theory and practice.Mentoring and coaching skills including with virtual project teams.Public speaking and/or being the face of the company at conferences and exhibitions.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior level.Employment TypeFull‑time.Job FunctionOther.IndustriesElectric Power Generation.BenefitsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at GE Vernova by 2x.LocationBarcelona, Catalonia, Spain.#J-18808-Ljbffr
