Job Description We are seeking an exceptional Senior Agentic Infrastructure Engineer to join our Agensys team. As a seasoned developer with a passion for open‑source communities, you will lead by example in the development process, mentor junior developers, and foster positive relationships within open‑source ecosystems. Your technical expertise in AI/ML, Agentic workflows and protocols, Python, Golang, Rust, Kubernetes, and related technologies will shape the direction of the Agensys project. Responsibilities Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor junior developers, sharing expertise to help them grow professionally. Software Architecture: Leverage expertise in AI, AI Agents, distributed systems, APIs, and AI‑native architectures to make best decisions on code and systems architectures. Community Engagement: Actively engage with open‑source communities to cultivate strong relationships, address technical challenges, and champion adoption of our software solutions. Collaboration: Partner with internal development teams to ensure seamless integration of open‑source contributions into our products and services. Code Quality: Maintain exemplary standards for all open‑source contributions, ensuring adherence to best practices in testing, documentation, and long‑term maintainability. Basic Qualifications 5+ years in software development with significant experience in Python, Golang, and/or Rust. Passion to thrive in a fast‑paced, fluid environment. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Experience and understanding of how to leverage AI‑powered co‑development tools such as Cursor IDE, Claude Code, Cline, Aider.Chat, or similar. Strong understanding of open‑source best practices, including code quality, testing, and documentation. Deep understanding of scale‑out AI‑native architectures such as parallel computing, event‑based distributed systems, GPU clusters, and agentic workflows. Deep experience with all forms of APIs. Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for deploying, managing, and scaling microservices. In‑depth knowledge of Kubernetes, including: Overall Kubernetes: strong understanding of the API architecture and resource model. Cluster API: expertise in using declarative APIs and tooling to simplify provisioning, upgrading, and operating multiple clusters. CNI: familiarity with CNI plugins such as OpenSDN/Tungsten Fabric/Contrail, Calico, and Cilium (eBPF/XDP). CSI: understanding of storage orchestration and management using CSI drivers, particularly with Ceph. Telemetry: experience with monitoring and observability tools, preferably Prometheus and Grafana. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Exceptional problem‑solving capabilities with proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Highly Desirable Participation in open‑source projects as a contributor or maintainer. Extensive experience developing Kubernetes operators and leveraging Kubernetes client libraries. Comprehensive understanding of AI infrastructure components: inference systems, Agentic workflows, autonomous AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), serverless AI functions, and related technologies.
