What you’ll be working on Building, maintaining and improving automated testing frameworks (primarily in Python using Pytest) for the scraping platform Designing and executing test strategies that align with team goals and product requirements Maintaining documentation on test coverage and plans Collaborating with Developers, Data Engineers and Analysts to uphold quality standards across releases Contributing to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes and monitoring improvements The opportunity to get involved in the development of scrapers About the Data Ingest Team The Data Ingest team is the oldest team at FXC Intelligence, existing in some form for over six years now. We provide the platform for collecting unstructured data from open third‑party websites and mobile apps, and make sure that the data collected corresponds to company data quality standards and SLAs. As the business grows and requirements change, so do we – the platform has survived several iterations and is currently in the process of being migrated to its fourth generation. The team also maintains over 200 scrapers for different providers of data, which power most of the company’s critical datasets. Qualifications 3+ years of commercial experience, including at least 6 months in QA automation or SDET roles Experience testing microservices, databases, data pipelines, or LLM solutions (not just UI or API automation) Comfortable coding in Python and using Pytest Created testing approaches or led improvements in QA processes Understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI Desired but not essential skills Experience with Pandas, NumPy or machine learning concepts Hands‑on experience with AWS (e.g., Glue, Lambdas, S3) Knowledge of SQL and database testing Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ Exposure to monitoring tools like ELK or Prometheus Tech Stack Development: Python, Pytest, Pydantic, Pandas Data and communication: Redis, Postgresql, Clickhouse, RabbitMQ, Kafka Infra: Jenkins, GitlabCI, ArgoCD, k8s, AWS Tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Qase About FXC Intelligence FXC Intelligence is a leading provider of cross‑border payments data and intelligence, providing some of the world's biggest companies, central banks and non‑governmental organisations with the strategic insights, expertise and awareness to effectively compete in their chosen markets.
