As a flagship research center in nanoscience and nanotechnology, our mission is to open and explore new frontiers of knowledge at the nanoscale, and bring value to society in the form of new understanding, capabilities and innovation, while inspiring and providing broad training to the next generations of researchers. Our research lines focus on the newly-discovered physical and chemical properties that arise from the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. ICN2 comprises 19 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Job Title: Business Development Lead Description of Project: With a total budget nearing 400 million euros, this strategic initiative aims to provide a unique environment for innovation, accessible to both industry and research institutions, enhancing the semiconductor manufacturing capabilities of the ecosystem and strengthening the European position in the semiconductor sector. Recently, the Catalan Government has officially approved the launch of the InnoFAB initiative, which will initially have certain key actions (including the ones described for this position) executed from ICN2. The Business Development Lead will lead, together with the general coordinator of INNOFAB and the rest of the ICN2 team, the strategic development of INNOFAB as a research and development center for advanced semiconductor technologies. This profile will focus on establishing and consolidating key relationships with companies in the sector, research centres, universities and public administrations, as well as on the creation of both national and international collaboration networks. Development and Management of the Business Plan: Preparation, updating and supervision of INNOFAB’s business plan, ensuring its alignment with the strategic objectives of the centre and the needs of the semiconductor sector. Collaboration with the project management to manage the long-term economic viability of INNOFAB, ensuring the sustainability of the center and the integration of new technologies in its processes. Business Development and Strategic Alliances: Identifying, establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the semiconductor sector, including technology companies, equipment suppliers, research centers, universities, and public administrations.
