We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our AI Authentication team – a group of product-minded, deeply technical engineers delivering features to define what identity and access mean in a world increasingly powered by artificial intelligence. We launched our Auth for GenAI offering and are looking for an Engineer II to join us to lead the team taking care of the Identity Protocols parts of the game. Auth0 works with NodeJS (JavaScript or TypeScript), with a hint of Go and MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases.Responsibilities Bring expertise in identity and security while building innovative features and standards that will secure the Agentic AI worldBuild and maintain scalable services using TypeScript, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL/MongoDBCollaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features that improve identity and access for GenAI applicationsWrite clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and system design discussionsContribute to observability and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance of our servicesContinuously learn and grow by working alongside experienced engineers on complex distributed systemsQualifications and Requirements Solid programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with NodeJS runtime environmentsPractical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Postgres and MongoDB)Ability to write well-tested, high-quality codeEnjoy working in an iterative development environmentAbility to work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value resultsExcellence when working autonomously, knowing when to seek help from teammatesSystematic problem-solving approach with strong communication skills and a sense of ownershipExperience with architecture principles across infrastructure, security, data, integration, and application layersExperience building resilient products that can scaleBonus Points Understanding of IAM conceptsExperience with using AI Agents to understand the problem spaceExperience creating and maintaining public and secure APIsCuriosity about AI and its intersection with identity and securityExperience working on Identity and Access Management software and conceptsKnowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetryWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee Amazing BenefitsMaking Social ImpactDeveloping Talent and Fostering Connection + Community at OktaOkta cultivates a dynamic work environment with tools, technology and benefits to empower employees to work productively in a setting that suits their needs.
