With a focus on providing an exceptional customer experience, LEVEL is committed to delivering top-notch service and exceeding the expectations of their passengers.Job PurposeFlight dispatchers perform all flight planning necessary for the safe operation of flights and supervise the flight throughout the entire journey. Flight dispatchers ensure that all aircraft are prepared for the respective flights as efficiently as possible.Flight dispatchers use a variety of means and technologies, from operational planning tools to electronic systems, to maintain contact with the aircraft and all the various service providers.Main ResponsibilitiesPrepare the flight dispatch documentation.Share responsibility with the captain for the safety and operational control of flights under his/her guidance.Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to the safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economical air route. Evaluate and re-evaluate weather at departure and arrival sites, along the flight route, and assess any other factors enroute. Also evaluate weather conditions at alternate airports in the event of an emergency landing.Prepare flight plans containing information such as maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather reports, field conditions, NOTAMs and other informational components required for safe completion of flight.Update the pilot in command on significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommend flight plan alternates, such as changing course, altitude and, if required, enroute landings in the interest of safety and economy.Delay or cancel the flight if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of the aircraft or passengers.Compute the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to aircraft type, distance, maintenance limitations, weather conditions, and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by aviation regulations.Evaluate and review aircraft weight, cargo loads and fuel loads.Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position reports, and aeronautical navigation charts to evaluate progress of flight. Monitor activities after the airplane is grounded and ensure compliance with procedures.Coordinate with air traffic control, air safety department, and other relevant agencies to facilitate smooth operation of the fleet.Provide flight dispatch and planning services to company management based on company policies and procedures.Main RelationshipsThe Flight Dispatchers report to the OCC Manager within the Flight Operations Department.EducationBachelor's degree.ExperienceMinimum of 2 years as an ETOPS dispatcher is mandatory.CompetenciesExcellent problem-solving skills.Team player. Flexible and proactive attitude.Ability to remain calm under pressure.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Analytical skills with attention to detail.LanguagesSpanish: B2/C1English: B2/C1OtherThe Flight Dispatch Office is in LEVEL's OCC at the Barcelona headquarters. This task requires flexible working hours. It also requires a shift work system, as flights can be operated at any time of the day, which means that the flight dispatcher must work in 12-hour rotating shifts, covering 24 hours a day.
