Our scope of work includes systems, repairing, dealing with issues, handling and tracking parts and assisting in Data Center maintenance. Amazon Data Centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will help change the face of Technology in the region. Key Job Responsibilities Operating team’s primary responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. Installing and removing server racks, fixing various IT hardware and network components, and responding to emergent situations that affect operations. Meet customer service level agreements by resolving problems, and be the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues. Perform on‑call duties and participate in Data Center operations, handling scheduled maintenance and change management activities that require monitoring of the data center infrastructure. Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and to discuss achieving daily/weekly goals. Understand and apply the policies and procedures for safety and security within your department. Contribute to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis for operational issues and support process improvement initiatives relevant to the data center environment. Assist in training less experienced members of the team, as needed. A Day in the Life Support Data Center infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, cables, etc.) and follow a ticket‑based environment for systematic problem resolution. Perform routine operation activities on hardware or spare parts, including installing and removing server racks and fixing server hardware. Conduct on‑call duties and participate in Data Center operations, handling scheduled maintenance and change management activities that require monitoring of infrastructure. Show strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving. Engage with site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas. Work in a rotating shift (10‑hour shifts with a one‑hour break) and alternate between four workdays and three days off. About the Team Amazon values diverse experiences. Basic Qualifications Experience managing IT infrastructure hardware lifecycle on‑site. Proficiency with ticketing systems, escalation procedures, and data center facilities operations. English & Japanese communication skills. Knowledge of maintenance windows and change management. Preferred Qualifications Experience with issue management ticket tracking, escalation procedures, and operations in a data center facility. Knowledge and understanding of maintenance windows and change management. Japanese & English communication abilities. Linux (RHCSA, CCNA, or equivalent) / networking certifications and scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.). BA/BS in technical field or equivalent practical experience.
