ROLE SUMMARY: The British College of Gavà is a vibrant, forward-thinking international school offering the English National Curriculum in a warm, inclusive, and innovative environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics & Business Teacher for our Secondary School to teach KS3 Mathematics and Business Studies, with the potential to contribute to GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and/or Business pathways as our department continues to grow. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in KS3 Mathematics and Business Studies . Contribute to the development and implementation of GCSE and A-Level curricula in Mathematics and/or Business as the department expands. Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and support differentiated learning. Apply real-world contexts and data-driven examples to enhance mathematical and business understanding. Create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and challenged. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives , particularly where Mathematics, Economics, and Business intersect. Participate in school events, pastoral responsibilities, and extracurricular activities as part of the wider school community. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Finance , or a closely related field. PGCE with QTS , or an equivalent nationally recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching KS3 Mathematics , with the confidence to teach GCSE and/or A-Level Mathematics and/or Business Studies . Strong subject knowledge with the ability to link theory to real-world applications. A passion for innovative pedagogy and student-centred learning. The ability to differentiate instruction effectively for mixed-ability groups.
