About the vacancy To Support our further worldwide growth, we are looking to recruit a experienced Project Engineer to join our team. You will be positioned to form a reliable colleague for our internationally operating Design & Engineering Team. As a Project Engineer you are expected to be the professional who, with his intensive knowledge of projects, engineering and Coldstores, can contribute to the continuous knowledge development of the department. Focus of this role is on being the true professionaland less on a management, meaning main focus will be on project engineering anddeveloping the engineering skills of the team. You will be responsible for the design andconstruction of the building and its installations, from the BusinessDevelopment phase until final take over by our Operations Department. Based in the company’s Headquarters in Breda, you will be part of a multifunctional team and exposed to many parts of our globalbusiness. What will you do? Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. Managing the progress and identifying and manage risks. Overseeing product construction and testing to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible. Evaluating and improving the changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project. Developing new engineering concepts for the benefit of our warehouses (a.o. Energy Management) Providing input regarding project outcomes and resolving escalated issues arising from operations in coordination with other departments. Providing strategic direction to ensure successful project outcomes and completion. Giving engineering Life-cycle support to realized warehouses. Providing support to Business development initiatives. Providing support to Operational initiatives while safeguarding Newcold’s Design and Engineering standards. Providing support to Sustainability initiatives and integrating them within Newcold’s standard design. Prepare the tender packages for the general contractor and other specialist contractors. Support with the permitting process and strategy. Liaising with local engineers for input on design. Who are we looking for? You have: Master Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering At least 5 years of experience in logistic real estate (in a role as contractor, developer, consultant or client) Evidence of a strong background in Project Engineering Willing to travel on a fairly regular basis Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment Highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus Are you up for the job?
