Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Job DescriptionWithin Domestic Transportation business area we are looking to hire a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer solid background to join an amazing team located in Madrid. If you are passionate about geotechnical engineering and eager to work on high-profile international and local projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will be an integral part of our Ground Engineering team, working on a variety of exciting projects and collaborating with experts from around the world. Key Responsibilities: Lead geotechnical investigations and assessments for diverse projects. Lead and organize geotechnical work for team members and guide them through complex tasks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, if needed. Process geotechnical data for ground interpretation, assessment, and report preparation. Develop geotechnical designs for excavations, retaining structures, earthworks, soil improvement, foundations, stability, and settlement analysis. Perform geotechnical calculations, prepare specifications, and create detailed drawings. Drive bids from the geotechnical discipline perspective, technical and budget parts. Collaborate with teams across different geographies to deliver outstanding results. Design and oversee tunnel projects, if necessary (TBM, NATM, construction methods, design, drawings, specifications). QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Mining Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English  (reading, writing, and speaking). Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D, ROCSCIENCE, AutoCAD, Excel, and Presto. Familiarity with Spanish codes, AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, Eurocodes, SBC. International experience is highly valued.
