No Offer Description The Doctoral Thesis will be developed at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria - Fundación Jiménez Díaz, under the supervision of Dr. Gloria Alvarez-Llamas and Dr. Marta Martin-Lorenzo. The PhD will focus on the study of thoracic aortic aneurysms. Multi-omics approaches (proteomics and metabolomics) will be used to search for markers and therapeutic targets for the disease. Cell cultures and molecular biology techniques will be used to study the underlying mechanisms. The project will be carried out in a hospital setting using human samples. The group has established collaborations at the national and international levels. The call for applications specifies the following requirements: Not have benefited from more than 12 months of any pre-doctoral contract, nor have benefited from scholarships or grants for the same purpose. Be enrolled, admitted, or pre-admitted to a doctoral program at one of the universities in Madrid and must be enrolled in that doctoral program when the contract is formalized. Not hold any doctoral degree issued by a Spanish or foreign university. Have the average grade established in the academic record. Have completed the studies that give access to the doctoral program by the deadline for submitting applications for this call. Specific Requirements Bachelor's and master's degree transcripts upon request (include in application) Interest and knowledge in omics techniques (proteomics and/or metabolomics).
