DescriptionHitachi Energy is currently undergoing a period of strong growth that requires significant expansion of our manufacturing base to meet the rising demand in the electrical distribution market. In addition, we have recently been through a major IT reorg that has led to the creation of the Transformer BST or Business Solution Team, that is tasked with supporting the Transformer business with its IT needs.The opportunityThis is a Manager-level role that will lead a global team in the delivery and support of Transformer specific applications supporting the Quality function. The ideal candidate has a strong IT background in application development and support, but also has deep knowledge of the electrical distribution business and experience in building solutions to test physical hardware.How you’ll make an impactLead multinational teams to deliver IT services for the Quality Function in the Transformers Business Unit.Manage all vendor contracts and deliverables required to support the portfolio.Plan and manage the annual budget process for the portfolio and develop a multi-year strategic roadmap.Define and oversee IT governance processes and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy Project Management standards.Develop a governance process with the business team to manage the backlog of change requests and implement changes in line with Hitachi guidelines.Work with the business to define, plan, and execute new projects within the portfolio.Support the business in defining end-to-end process excellence and efficiencies to improve and simplify business processes.Recruit and manage teams, oversee execution of all projects, and track actuals and forecasts per Finance requirements.Your backgroundStrong IT background in application development, maintenance and supportKnowledge of electrical engineering applications fundamentals and experience with engineering or device testing solutions and protocolsStrong project management skillsKnowledge of finance, budgeting and financial reporting.Ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as technical teams.Ability to speak and write fluently in English, as well as creating all required documentation in EnglishMore about usWe pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefit programs to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
