Field Applications Specialist Single Cell Solution – South Europe (English + Italian) BD invites applications for the role of Field Applications Specialist – Single Cell Solution. The primary responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, training customers on protocols and workflows, and offering scientific support for single‑cell experimental implementation across Italy, Spain, and Greece. Job Description Summary The position involves guiding customers in experimental design, troubleshooting results, providing basic data analysis and bioinformatics support, and collaborating with the commercial team for pre‑sales activities. About 70% travel within the region is required. Main Responsibilities Design and execute experimental strategies and interpret results. Conduct hands‑on demonstrations and train customers on protocols and workflows. Troubleshoot customer results and support the complaint handling process. Demonstrate instrumentation and reagent workflows in‑house and at customer sites. Plan, coordinate, and perform operator training for new and existing customers. Offer scientific support on MultiOmics workflows, focusing on single‑cell experimental implementation. Provide basic data analysis and bioinformatics support using the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Analysis System. Stay updated on new products and procedures to provide efficient support for training and demonstrations. Support European and local tradeshows to demonstrate platforms, technologies, and to assist local teams. Qualifications PhD or equivalent experience in Molecular Biology or Genomics, ideally with 2+ years in industry. Hands‑on expertise in single‑cell analysis and genomic applications such as scRNAseq, NGS, library/sample prep, digital PCR, and qPCR. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for NGS/scRNAseq analysis; experience with flow cytometry is a plus. Proficient in English and Italian. Willing to travel 70% across the region.
