With the massive surge of electronic travel documents and national eID cards, Thales Digital & Security global business unit is supporting border agencies, government authorities and airports to exploit technology convergence to gain consistent, comprehensive border, visa management and document verification worldwide, that will: Deliver seamless travel with border control applications Offer convenience for travelers for fast and secure border crossing Improve border intelligence for detection and prevention, including some of the most disruptive new technologies like biometrics, machine learning, or micro services We are looking for a Security Site Manager within Thales CDI located in Madrid. Education A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, IT, or a related discipline. Preferred: Experience or certifications aligned with a CISO profile (CISSP, CISA, CISM) Proficiency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken) is essential. Technical Experience Proven ability to develop and deploy Crisis Management Plans in international organizations. In-depth understanding of Security Management principles and BCP (Business Continuity Planning) standards. A strong grasp of local, national, and international security regulations, including: ISO 27001 implementation. ENS (Esquema Nacional de Seguridad) frameworks. Experience conducting audits to ensure adherence to security policies and standards. Solid knowledge of IT Security concepts, including: Cybersecurity principles (firewalls, encryption, intrusion prevention). Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, etc.). Threat analysis and remediation processes. Familiarity with physical security measures and integration with IT security. Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks. Understanding of DevSecOps principles and their application to secure software development. Experience in developing and maintaining security awareness programs for employees. Technical Skills SIEM systems Incident Management Software Risk Assessment Tools Data Loss Prevention Tools Vulnerability Management Systems Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Identity and Access Management (IAM) Encryption and PKI solutions. Forensics and investigation tools Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline security processes. Leadership Skills and Experience Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations. Proven ability to manage, coach, and mentor team members to achieve their best potential. Management skills with experience delivering security initiatives on time and within budget. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build consensus for security strategies. Track record of handling high-pressure situations with composure and effective decision-making. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business language. A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, IT security, or a related field. Experience working in an international and multicultural environment is a plus.
