Inspired Infrastructure.Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Field Service Technician to join our team, working directly with the Thermal Works team and local contractors to focus on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all Thermal Works equipment.We are looking for a detail‑oriented, goal‑oriented individual with foundational knowledge in HVAC, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the agility to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works' U.S. headquarters.Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.Perform on‑site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.Carry out all preventive maintenance and service needs for clients.Be available to take emergency issues when on call.Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.Travel up to 75% of the time within Spain.Education / ExperienceTechnical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems (e.g., Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Mantenimiento de Instalaciones Térmicas y de Fluidos in Spain).F‑Gas Category I Certification (under EC Regulation No. ********) is required for handling fluorinated gases.3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical systems for mission‑critical infrastructure, including data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities.Experience with chillers and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with EU safety standards, pressure equipment directives (PED), and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.Technical Skills & AbilitiesBaseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.Knowledge of hydronic systems.Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems.Understanding of refrigeration theory and hands‑on applied sciences.Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.Fluent in English and Spanish (additional European languages are a strong plus).Ability to read drawings at a basic level; able to lift up to 50 lbs.Continuous professional development throughout the day.Location: Madrid or Barcelona, Spain (on‑site) with 75% travel requirement within Spain. Reports to: Field Deployment and Commissioning Manager.
