We would like to get on board in our Rolling Stock department in Madrid a Project Engineer (m/f/d) Software Development for Traction Control Systems for vehicle platforms as well as for offers and specific projects.


Your new role - challenging and future-oriented


  1. Determination and documentation of the requirements for the drive control software
  2. Definition of the software architecture and documentation with the help of modeling tools
  3. Participation in the definition of the software design, how the software architecture is to be implemented in practice
  4. Participation in the agreement and documentation of the system interfaces of the software
  5. Design and description of the required software components based on the software requirements
  6. Programming of the control software with the help of a graphic development tool (continuous flowchart)
  7. Integration of the control unit software on the target platform and documentation of the functionality
  8. Planning of the entire software test (developer, component and function test)
  9. Monitoring the quality of all intermediate results of the software development process (verification)
  10. Determination of the suitability of the completed software (validation, EN 50657)
  11. Development of software tools (SW tools, scripts)
  12. Organize and describe the software configuration management
  13. Creation of the vehicle simulation as a test environment for the implementation of software tests
  14. Elaboration and documentation of development standards

Your qualifications - solid and appropriate


  1. You have completed a technical degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences, mechatronics or a comparable field
  2. You have previous knowledge about the rolling stock business.
  3. You have already gained professional experience with structured software development in traction control systems / Preferably railroad industry according to EN 50657.
  4. In addition, you have traction system knowledge: traction converters and electrical motors
  5. You are fluent in English (at least C1-level or equivalent). Spanish is an advantage.
  6. You enjoy working with colleagues from different departments and locations.
  7. Readiness for traveling.
