Project Manager

The Junior Project Manager ("JPM" or "employee") is an entry point for project management personnel at Global Riser. The position encompasses a fast‑track program of knowledge and performance with regards to Offshore Drilling Riser and associated well control equipment as well as Global Riser’s systems and processes. The employee will be supervised by Project Managers, Project Engineers, Management and Consultants. He / she will be an enthusiastic, efficient, committed individual, with strong organizational skills, who can think practically and innovatively, with an ability to work independently or as part of a team. He / she will also be expected to work unsupervised and will be expected to supervise other GR personnel.Responsibilities1. Complete training as required;2. Shadow Project Managers, Project Engineers, Field Service and Subsea Engineers in order to gain a fundamental understanding of the operation, inspection and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment;3. Physically participate in carrying out various processes in order to gain a fundamental understanding of how these are performed.4. Manage projects from inception through to delivery; ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures initially with assistance of management but ultimately unaided. This will include, but will not be limited to: quotation, project execution, procurement, logistics, resource planning, scheduling, reporting, inspection report review, databook generation and submission, oversight, manufacture, quality control and project closeout;5. Responsible for Project Quoting phase. This will include, but will not be limited to:Management will pass on an RFQ, then :Conduct Project Design and DevelopmentGather all info on the scope as inputsIdentify other inputs, not supplied by the customerGenerate outputsInput vs output gap analysisManagement reviewCost project using company process / templates / softwareDraft quote and issue management for approval.6. Responsible for Project Execution phase. This will include, but will not be limited to:Management will advise when PO is received for a project, then :Review costing and verify no increases or issuesRequest PO's for any third partiesSchedule and coordinate third parties and any of their shipping requirementsIdentify any specialist tooling requirements and have these engineered / manufactured / procuredMeet with Operations Manager and select project teamDirect Travel Co‑Ordinator on requirements for flights, accommodation, and welfareBudget per diems and advise Finance ManagerDraft equipment packing list with Operations Management reviewCoordinate with stores for equipment and consumables requirementsCoordinate with stores for packingProvide draft CIPL to LogisticsGenerate project and QCP using company process / templates / softwareConduct pre deployment meeting with entire teamDeploy to project (if / when required) and execute the scopeDirect tasks to technicians using company process / templates / softwareReport daily (or as per requirement) on progress and update project cost dailyIdentify any non‑conformances and report to Quality DepartmentHandle any technical queriesManage technicians and third partiesClose out meeting with customer on conclusion of scopeProcess completion notes / delivery notes and time sheetsProcess of Customer Satisfaction note7. Responsible for Project Completion and Closeout. This will include, but will not be limited to:Assist finance department with invoicingConduct After Action ReviewAssist to close out any NC'sEnsure all documentation packs are provided to the customer within the agreed time frame8. Report effectively to management and Customers.9. Always ensure a safe working environment.SkillsAn advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite;Excellent written communicator (email; technical report writing; WhatsApp);Excellent level of English, both written and verbal;Organizational skills; Time Management.Qualifications and ExperienceRelevant technical qualification.No experience required, as this is a Junior Position.
