JOB SUMMARY The Demand Forecaster Trainee role is designed to support markets in understanding and improving their product demand. This position will work closely with Demand Planning teams across different markets to help identify which products should receive a statistical forecast and to monitor the performance of products already using it. The trainee will help ensure markets have the insights they need to make better forecasting decisions and will assist with answering their technical questions related to the statistical forecast. On the technical side, the trainee will contribute to maintaining forecasting tools and dashboards that markets rely on, helping keep the process running smoothly. Throughout the role, they will gain exposure to real business challenges, learn how demand patterns affect planning, and develop the communication skills needed to support markets while building a strong foundation in forecasting practices. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Support markets by helping identify which products should receive a statistical forecast. Monitor the performance of products already using statistical forecasting and flag issues or trends. Assist in preparing and updating demand dashboards to help markets track results and understand demand patterns. Work with the forecasting team to ensure forecasting runs are completed successfully and data is accurate. Answer basic technical questions from markets related to forecasting tools, data, and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, understand market needs, and improve forecasting decisions. Participate in regular meetings with Demand Planning teams to review the use and performance of Statistical Forecasts. Document Statistical Forecast related processes defined by Global Demand Planning team. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE Recent graduate or final-year student in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of statistical concepts and time series fundamentals. Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Power BI or other analytical tools used for data exploration, dashboarding and reporting (or interest in learning how to build them). Comfortable working with data and interpreting simple demand or sales trends. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn forecasting concepts and business processes. Basic knowledge of Python, R Preferred: Some exposure (internship or academic projects) to forecasting, data analysis, or KPI reporting. Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake is an advantage.
