Senior IT Project Manager

Work model: Hybrid (2 days in the office per week)Job Type : Full TimeJob Location : MálagaAs Senior IT Project Manager, you will be tasked with a range of strategic IT projects, owning their entire life cycle from inception to deployment, including operational handover . These projects can range from Data Centre Technology transformation, Security, Infrastructure and Corporate IT initiatives.You may also contribute to company-wide programs of work, representing and coordinating the tasks for the CIO function.You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic professional who is passionate about delivering a great product and should be excited by the challenges associated with a wide range of projects. The position requires someone that is able to work within a very diverse team and for a wide array of stakeholders in different time zones (both technical and non-technical), and has high organizational and planning skills.You will have a strong character and a willingness to try new things and “get stuck in”. You will be an excellent communicator, have strong organisational skills and have the confidence to challenge stakeholders where necessary.Responsibilities Managing medium to large, complex IT projects with multiple workstreams including customer’s team and external vendorsManaging the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure including post-implementation supportAgreeing and capturing the project objectives, high-level scope, timeline, budget and key deliverables with project sponsor and key stakeholdersWorking with project sponsor and key stakeholders on requirements gatheringEstablishing and owning the overall project plan, milestones and timelinesProactively identifying, capturing and managing risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions in an organised, structured and coherent way, escalating risks where necessaryManaging team capacity and tracking progress across assigned projectsSeeking an in-depth understanding of how projects impact and contribute to business goals, to help guide risk identification and mitigationDirecting and motivating project teams by demonstrating effective leadership skills, ensuring commitments are being upheldPreparing and proactively disseminating project documentation (e.g. Project Charter, Project Plan, Status Reports & Risk Log) to sponsor and all stakeholders, ensuring it is up to date, fit for purpose and correctly used throughout the project lifecycleManaging cross-functional project teams composed of business and technical team members, as well as vendor representativesManaging stakeholder relationships and expectations, by providing regular project updates, keeping them appraised on the strategy, adjustments, progress, issue resolution and project resultsEnsuring that the products/deliverables are reviewed and tested, and that they meet the agreed acceptance criteriaEnsuring the agreed solution is fit for purpose, supportable & is accepted into operational supportEnsuring that all lessons learnt are captured, and that a benefits realisation plan has been produced.Serving as a mediator to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing solutions to clientsWeekly reporting to stakeholders or Steering Committee as appropriate on project progress, risks and issues to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity; proactively managing sponsor and stakeholder expectationsWorking with other project managers in the team to deliver wider programmes of work.Mentoring and supporting junior members of the teamReviewing and providing input into the team’s project templates, tools and processes to support continuous improvementRequirements 6 + years of relevant IT project management experienceSelf-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a wider programme teamSkilled at managing multiple priorities and delivering under pressure in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized, with strong attention to detail, and experienced in coordinating efforts across multiple teams and time zonesProficient in managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities simultaneously, ensuring alignment with objectivesAbility to build strong relationships across the business, with customers, project teams, and 3rd party vendorsProven experience with risk, issue, resource, and dependency managementExperience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologiesStrong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsProven experience working across various IT platformsProven experience delivering high availability projects on platforms with high transactional demandsKnowledge of IT concepts and technologies such as networking, storage, virtualization, and cloudKnowledge of IT processes; ITIL knowledge highly recommendedExperience managing and achieving tight deadlines while maintaining qualityStrategic and creative thinking is valuedWillingness to travel on an ad hoc basis – as required#J-18808-Ljbffr
