Role and Responsibilities Our Solution Engineering team is obsessed with serving our customers. We are looking for an Associate Solution Engineer, a technical “Jack/Jill of All Trades” who loves figuring out “how things work.” As an Associate Solution Engineer, you’ll become an expert on the inner workings of the Appian platform and gain full-stack experience valuable for any technical career. You’ll have the opportunity to work with every layer of the Appian platform; from data analysis to creative problem solving, and you\'ll tackle challenging technical problems while addressing our customers\' concerns. The start date for this role will be in Summer 2026 . Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need: Excellent problem solving with the ability to find creative solutions to complex technical concerns Provide exceptional, world-class verbal and written support to customers and key stakeholders globally Ability to tackle technical challenges and communicate work across departments Strong interest in software development (but not a role focused on coding all day) Desire to work closely with customers to help lead continual improvement in availability, performance, functionality and security of the Appian platform Interest in data analytics Interest or experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g. Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP) Interest in or experience with RDBMS platforms (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) Interest in or experience with systems administration (e.g. Linux, Windows) Fluent English and Spanish (reading and writing) Tools, Resources and Growth Some of the tools and resources we will equip you with include: Immersion into a respectful community starting on day one, with affinity groups to connect with peers globally Growth opportunities such as the in-house Appian MBA program for new managers, Appian University with a library of courses, Presentation Skills training, and tuition reimbursement Basic Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in any engineering discipline, information technology, or similar Flexibility to provide after-hours support (rotation every 10-15 weeks) About Appian Appian helps organizations build apps and workflows rapidly with a low-code automation platform.
